Aside from the usual questions about why I wrote my book and what it is about, most of the enquiries I receive come from fellow authors. They tend to ask how I found my publisher and how I managed to get the book into print.

My publisher is Author Gate, a traditional publishing house. I came across them through a literary agency. As this is my first published book, I must confess that the discussions did not unfold quite as I had once imagined. I did not pay my publisher to publish my book as that would be vanity. But I did have to give away a lot of royalties which I have been informed is common. That said, they made me a very fair offer, which I was happy to accept, and I am pleased with how things have turned out.

The most challenging aspect for me is the marketing side of things. At my age, I find it increasingly difficult to attend public events and engagements. Aside from that, however, my experience with them has been a very good one.
